I was last out at the Duluth Air Show in 2006, while this 2010 edition wasn’t quite as good as my previous attendance still have to love the sound of those jet engines and the display of aircraft.

This Saturday January 9th, I will be exhibiting a collection of photos from the velodromes in Blaine, MN and Los Angeles, CA at One on One Bicycle Studio . The show is a celebration of track cycling featuring the work of myself alongside five fellow photographers: Jonathan Chapman, Lisa Lardy, Tom Sadowski, TC Worley, and Caroline Yang.
The opening reception is Saturday from 7-10pm. All are welcome to stop in, check out the show, and meet the photographers.
Well, the annual print competition for the Twin Cities Professional Photography Association was held tonight at Hennepin Tech. Compared to last year the judging seemed tougher and more rigid. Lots of looking at the technical details. In the end one of the four prints I entered fell into the merit category with a score of 83.
A thanks goes out to the judges for the competition and an extra thanks for Lisa Crayford for giving her Judge’s Choice award to this print! Now to get back to work on photos for next year’s PPA competition during the summer months!

Results of the 2008 Professional Photographers Association International Print Competition became available today and my print “Snowy Stare” was accepted as a Merit print into the General Collection. Definitely nice to have a print recognized by one’s peers.

Tonight was the TCPPA Awards and Christmas banquet. Based upon the previous months print competition scoring, I was awarded 2nd place in the Illustrative Photographer of the Year Category.
